Display and Design
The X100 Pro sports a large 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a variable 120Hz refresh rate enabled by LTPO tech. This allows the screen to dynamically adjust between 1-120Hz based on the content, optimizing battery life. The panel also employs Vivo’s V-ProMotion technology and high 2160Hz dimming for enhanced eye comfort.
The vanilla X100 gets a flat 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones feature an under-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 dust/water resistance. The curved back glass design and frosted matte finish give these phones a premium yet understated look.
Performance Hardware
At the heart of the X100 Pro lies MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9300 chip based on the Armv9.2 architecture. Coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, the phone promises excellent all-round performance and energy efficiency. The X100 gets the slightly lower-end Dimensity 8200 processor but still packs plenty of power with up to 16GB RAM.
Triple Camera Setup with ZEISS Optics
But the biggest highlight of the X100 series is the advanced triple camera system co-engineered with ZEISS. The X100 Pro offers a 50MP primary cam with a large 1-inch sensor and OIS, a 50MP ultrawide shooter and a 50MP, 4x optical telephoto lens with ZEISS optics and OIS. This 100mm ‘floating’ periscope camera uses an apochromatic lens for superior image quality even at high 10x hybrid zoom. There is also a 32MP selfie camera upfront.
The X100 gets a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide and a 64MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Both phones are powered by Vivo’s custom V3 and V2 imaging chips respectively for optimized photography. Features like Ultra Night Portrait, AI noise reduction and improved HDR promise great results.
Battery and Connectivity
The X100 Pro packs a large 5,400 mAh battery with insanely fast 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The vanilla X100 gets a 5,000 mAh cell with 120W wired fast charging. Both phones include Wi-Fi 7 and 5G support, along with dual nano-SIM slots.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X100 Pro with 16GB/512GB configuration will retail for ₹89,999. The regular X100 is priced starting at ₹63,999 for the 12GB/256GB model, going up to ₹69,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant.
Vivo is offering launch offers like 10% instant cashback on SBI and ICICI cards plus additional upgrade bonuses on HDFC/SBI cards. The X100 series will be available shortly across online and offline channels.
At last, Vivo’s new flagship duo brings best-in-class displays, swift performance and versatile camera setups aided by ZEISS optics. The phones seem to strike a good balance between premium build, features and pricing. Competition in the Android flagship space is heating up, and the X100 series will take on the likes of the OnePlus 11, Samsung S23 series and more. Let’s see if Vivo’s new flagships can shake up the segment with their camera innovations and stylish design.
